1.       Case Study competition, Summer 2012

A case study-cum-article writing competition was held during the summer vacation of 2012 to encourage students to think critically about various environmental issues in our country and come up with impactful solutions to these issues.  [To read more:CLICK HERE]

2.       Indian Wildlife week celebrations:

The Indian wildlife week is celebrated every year in the first week of October to celebrate the diversity of the Indian wildlife. Awareness events were held during this week to inform students about various problems faced by wildlife in India.  [To read more:CLICK HERE]

a.       Movie Screening: ‘Earthlings’ (by STEAM-Striving Towards Eradication of Animal Misery)

b.      Online Awareness Initiative: Weeklong posts in our facebook page about the various endangered species in India.

3.       Pet-bottle collection drive, Rendezvous 2012

This was an initiative to make the famous IIT Delhi cultural festival, Rendezvous, environment-friendly. Plastic cold-drink (PET) bottles consumed during the fest were collected and send for recycling at a recycling centre in Gurgaon.   [To read more:CLICK HERE]

4.       Lecture Series:

a.       ‘Understanding Complexities of Water Issues’, Prof. A.K.Gossain, Civil Dept, IIT Delhi

b.      Movie Screening cum Discussion: ‘The Plastic Cow’,

c.       ‘Climate Change: What the Science is Telling Us’, Prof. AchutaRao, CAS, IIT Delhi.

An awareness event held on the occasion of the Earth Day, 22nd April, 2013.

5.       Tree Plantation Drive

A ‘Nurturing Trees Nurturing Lives Campaign’ held at IIT Delhi, in association with UNICEF and AidMatrix foundation India in which 200 tree saplings were planted inside the campus.   [To read more:CLICK HERE]

6.       Fauna Rescue Campaign:
